All Maytags, regardless of where they are sold, are made by Whirlpool. Sears does sell a low-priced line of Maytag/Whirlpool washers and dryers, but you can usually buy the “appliance store” line as well. Check the model numbers carefully. One difference in letter or number can make a big difference.

At Sears in Texas. Close to 1500 bucks for the set in 2005. Thought I was done with washers and dryers for a few years. Dryer still works.
