He, the citizen speaker, is VERY lucky he didn’t get the ‘full treatment’ meted out to many others’ seen as ‘obstructing or impeding the lawful discourse of officer of the law’, as emphasized with a baton smacked into the choppers. The Officer was so compliant, one has to ask if this was not a set up, or if he may have known of this officer’s calm temperment. Just keep it up, Mr. Mouthy, with your’ citizen’s arrests.

Maybe someone just made it all up.
He was also present at the Bundy Ranch stand off when that was going on and when Congressional debates were held among the Republican candidates here Gavin would pull out a US Constitution and declare that was his platform.
He's a good guy, young, couple of kids. He didn't do well in the primary but there were 8 candidates running and he did better than some. We may be hearing more from this young man as time goes by.

When the officer said it was a patrol car, Seim whipped out his legal knowledge.
“OK, you’re not allowed to have patrol cars that are unmarked, are you aware of that?” he said, before citing the relevant law.
Washington state law allows police to use unmarked vehicles for special undercover work, but not for regular patrols.
Seim went through all the normal steps of a traffic stop, taking the officer’s name, license and, eventually, deciding to let him off with a warning, urging him to speak with his bosses about their illegal patrol cars.
As Seim explained to the officer, using unmarked vehicles for regular patrols puts citizens in danger, because people can never be sure if they’re really being pulled over by cops or not.”
In this day and age he was lucky he wasn’t shot or beat up and his dog executed in either case.
I am not making this up. In the early 60s my friend, a big burley man, went in pursuit of a police car speeding thru his residental district and caught him at a stop sign and ticketed him. He took the ticket to the DA’s office. My friend had a small child and wanted the speeding to stop. The cop did it many times.
Six weeks later the DA’s office called him a 0600 on a Sunday morning and told him the disposition of the ticket.
A right unexercised is a right that’s lost!
