And there`s always the example, set by that ban on flights, that now opens the door for securing the borders. Unless Mexico and Canada follow suit the argument can be made that they will pose a risk, so ban as well or we actually begin enforcing our borders. Ebola now becomes our crisis to leverage better border enforcement.

We have an existing law to implement quarantine. We have 6000 uniformed officers in the Commissioned Corps, USPHS. There is precedent. Ellis Island was created precisely for this reason.
I don't give a crap about getting Obama on record. I care about stopping the flow, right now or as soon as possible.
Stopping the flights IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.
