CNN Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta reported on further allegations made by a nurses union that Dallas Ebola patient Thomas Eric Duncan was not put into isolation, allowed his blood to circulate through the hospitals tube system, and that waste piled up nearly to the ceiling inside patients rooms on Tuesdays CNN Tonight.
Gupta said that the National Nurses United stated that they were informed by nurses that Mr. Duncan was not in isolation. He was not in isolation for several hours, despite the fact that a nursing supervisor asked that he go into isolation, and that he may have come in contact with seven patients at that time.
The also claimed, the blood, the laboratory blood that was taken from Mr. Duncan was sent through the hospital tube system
and the concern is that tube system could potentially become contaminated as a result of the fact that this blood with Ebola was circulating through it.

You're stark, raving nuts if you think not having a national center for disease control and prevention would be a good thing. Oh, let's have all 50 states do it separately. Or turn it over to a private pharmaceutical company. So they could only research the profitable ones. Nuts!
BINGO!
I know a nurse in a Boston hospital. They are not allowed to talk about the briefings. All she would say was to buy water.
Over 80% of health care workers are female, so I suppose most of these idiots are Obama drones.
I am personally aware of the havoc and TOTAL loss of jobs that the UAW wrought upon New Stanton (I live in Westmoreland County); and growing up it was obvious the USW was killng the American steel industry w/out of control wages/contracts. For the most part I see the problems powerful unions bring today (SEIU!) but, in this instance, I cannot think that anyone nurse would risk their license to call out the malfeasance that seems to have happened between the CDC and Dallas Presbyterian.
Trash piled up to the ceiling? Maybe NOT the ceiling, but if housekeeping isnt on Level 4 infection control (remember Freidan said EVERY hospital here is “ready for Ebola”) then what happens? It piles up til the protocol is determined on HOW to safely remove. Again, would one rogue nurse take to the media and be heard? Would that nurse be hired again? Keep her license? But, in THIS CASE an organized nurses Union can do MORE to call out the failures of the system (and I place blame at both the hospital and CDC) and instigate changes in the protocols.
My husband watched Megyn Kelly tonight. He was STUNNED that Freidan said HAIR/NECK coverings were unnecessary. Think about that....thats the type of issue reps of the nurses (again, their union) IS SCREAMING about.
Nurses, I have found are almost exclusively patient advocates, in this deadly situation, they NEED organized advocates.
Yes. That is exactly how it is intended to happen.
it’s what obama wants.
It was my understanding that hazardous waste is hauled out of state for disposal. That state’s Governor has issued an edict that they will not receive Ebola waste. Could be they have no place to incinerate it yet, but I don’t know if that is the cause of this or not.
“If this is true heads gotta roll.”
If which part is true? Whose heads?
The CDC website, right now, still does not recommend head and neck coverage. So, this hospital, like most hospitals, was following guidance. If Duncan was not in CDC recommended isolation, that’s bad, all right. But if he was, and it was inadequate, that’s on CDC.
In many states, EMS is mostly to completely volunteer.
Who ya gonna call?
Private vehicles? (stop here, I gotta... I wanna... I'm hungry/thirsty...) Too much infection potential.
If you are in the city with the center... you might get treatment. If not, the further away you are, the less likely you will be treated. (IOW, you're on your own if you get infected.)
Yikes! Where does the exhaust air go? Is it filtered (on the way out)?
It would be a great to have a national center for disease prevention and control. Maybe Congress can squeak one into the budget.
The reason we are sending so many to Liberia is because they only have left than 50 doctors left, in the entire country. All of the others have run for their lives.

Read Tuesday that Doctors Without Borders have lost about nine of their participants to ebola.
I don’t like Obama ordering our military to go to West Africa, because of the risks they may be subjected to there.
One report I saw indicated our military was there to construct isolation/quarantine units only, but who can believe this Administration.
Agreed, this looks like whats happening. The solution would be interesting but it could look a lot like martial law....and the Resident overstaying his term.
The Republicans cut the CDC budget! (Even though they got $400 million more than they asked for this year).
What’s your point?
I’m not a unionized RN, though I am an RN. To be fair, while even the Nurses unions are a bit PC, the main ones are fiercely pro nurse and working conditions. They are not as money oriented...they are mostly about working conditions, hour and staffing ratios. The kind of stuff unions should be about, not the political stuff.
Frieden is a NYC communist democrat propagandist son of a bitch.
Ebola is THE most dangerous virus in the world and this bastard is acting like its the flu.
This is an intentional attempt by the foreign marxists in the WH to infect the USA.
