Hey, I resent that remark.
My Kennedy ancestors came to America in the 1700s and had already made their way to Texas by the 1840s. The Massachusetts bunch were failed potato farmers that first came to this country around 1850.
Kennedy was a perfectly respectable name until those damned Massachusetts Kennedys started making the rest of us look bad.
During the William Kennedy Smith rape trial the senior Senator from Chappaquiddick was asked by a reporter why the Kennedy family experienced so many "difficulties" (meaning brushes with the law). His response was something like "well,in a large Boston Irish family you're likely to see a few bits of trouble".
Well I,too, come from a large Boston Irish family and not a *single* member has ever killed anyone, raped anyone, diddled any underage kids, died of a heroin OD,been a heroin addict, had a spouse hang him/herself in the garage, etc, etc.
