I am curious how he got the disease.
Presumably he knew not to touch a symptomatic person or their bodily fluids.
Same with the doctors (although by the nature of their job, it might be unavoidable) who got the disease.
I get the distinct feeling we are being lied to and the disease spreads by fomites (that is things touched by sick people or sneezed on, etc), is at lease partially airborne, or there is an animal vector that has not been considered (insect bite, dog slobber, etc).
The 33-year-old, who returned to Liberia on September 4, believes that he may have contracted the virus while spray-washing a car that had carried someone who later died of Ebola.
You are right...my big question is how will the disease fare in a cooler climate like the north or north east. It doesn’t get too cold in those African holes.
What follows is my Personal Opinion Only:
The patient comes from a very weird family and is very much a screwball himself. I have an ugly suspicion that he infected himself intentionally — out of some loony ideation.
