First, I wanted to say thank you to each of you for your responses and encouragement/validation that I'm just not alone in my frustration and anger against Washington DC and franky the GOP-E and their supporters here on FR.

Yesterday's post for me was like a cleansing breath. I'm just so sick and tired of those on here who insist we have to tote the Republican party line when that party line is anything but Conservative in principle. I've just "had enough" and by the looks of the lack of flaming posts back my way, the rat-wanna be's went scurrying off into the dark.

EternalVigilance, you said in your reply that my use of the F-bomb (something which I'm really trying not to say/write anymore, but occasionally my frustration gets the best of me) prevented you from sharing it. By all means if you want to share it, remove the F-Bomb. Maybe it'll encourage others to start speaking up as well, who knows. I'm humbled that you'd want to share it.

Nite Hides Not, I absolutely love the Francisco d'Anconia reference, TYSM that means quite a bit. I've always figured myself as an Ellis Wyatt kinda guy. Slow to roil but once I've had enough I torch the wells and tell the moochers good luck.

I'm just afraid for my country and ashamed that my generation (I'm now 52...) didn't set the ship of state right and am unfortunately, seemingly leaving that to my children to do. We (my generation) really ought to be ashamed for that.

I do not know why some freepers put their online ‘friendships’ over their integrity or their country. But supporting rinos is not some simple political squabble. It is supporting the people funding the Obama agenda.

If any freeper wants to associate themselves with that, so be it. Of course most aren’t using their real names and as we have seen with one getting caught ‘good post Bro!” inf himself over multiple accounts, the fraud seems strong among the rino wing just as in the DNC.

No. You are not alone in this. However, I'm afraid we might be outnumbered. I'm sure the more vocal Freepers who deride principled conservatives for not casting votes for the establishment-anointed liberal GOP reflect significant numbers across the country. There are a great many that vote for the Republican simply because he/she is a Republican. Unfortunately, our "side" has its share of low information voters as well. Add to that, the number of less principled "conservatives" among us who are just fine with a certain measure of big government Republicans. We see them in every primary coalescing behind the more "electable" moderate/liberal GOP candidate.

I left the GOP. My vote is my own. I see no reason to maintain allegiance with a political party that fronts big government moderate/liberal candidates on national ticket and curses conservatives, or worse yet, treats us like the enemy while acquiescing to Democrats. The GOP WILL NOT turn this country from the course of onerous statism we find ourselves under. They have said as much and their lack of resolve on this is glaring. The GOP is allowing this course to run unopposed. Why would I vote for more of the same?

Sheme me, blame me and insult me all you like, but you will never get my vote unless you earn it.
