Stevie Nicks Confirms Song “Sara” Was About Baby With Don Henley She Aborted

Abortion and pop music culture are often intertwined. Whether it’s the girlfriend of Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler having an abortion or Michael Jackson writing a song about abortion that wasn’t released until after his death, pop music and musicians are frequently involved in abortion or commenting on it.

Now, classic rocker Stevie Nicks of the band Fleetwood Mac has confirmed that the song “Sara” was about a baby she had with Eagles frontman Don Henly who was eventually killed in an abortion.

Here’s more:

stevienicksFleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks has confirmed that she was once pregnant with Don Henley’s child.

The Eagles singer has said in interviews that Fleetwood Mac song ‘Sara’ was dedicated “to the spirit of the aborted baby” they conceived together.

In a new interview with Billboard, Nicks confirmed Henley’s story. “Had I married Don and had that baby, and had she been a girl,” she said, “I would have named her Sara. But there was another woman in my life named Sara, who shortly after that became Mick’s wife, Sara Fleetwood.”

“It’s accurate,” she added, referring to Henley’s suggestion of the song’s meaning, “but not the entirety of it.” Nicks wrote the song in 1979, when it appeared on the band’s Tusk album.

Know the song is about abortion, the lyrics make more sense in that context:

Sara, you’re the poet in my heart Never change, never stop And now it’s gone All I ever wanted Was to know that you were dreaming (There’s a heartbeat And it never really died)

Here are the full lyrics:

Wait a minute baby… Stay with me awhile Said you’d give me light But you never told be about the fire Drowning in the sea of love Where everyone would love to drown And now it’s gone It doesn’t matter anymore When you build your house Call me home And he was just like a great dark wing Within the wings of a storm I think I had met my match — he was singing And undoing the laces Undoing the laces Drowning in the sea of love Where everyone would love to drown And now it’s gone It doesn’t matter anymore When you build your house Call me home Hold on The night is coming and the starling flew for days I’d stay home at night all the time I’d go anywhere, anywhere Ask me and I’m there because I care Sara, you’re the poet in my heart Never change, never stop And now it’s gone It doesn’t matter what for When you build your house I’ll come by Drowning in the sea of love Where everyone would love to drown And now it’s gone It doesn’t matter anymore When you build your house Call me home All I ever wanted Was to know that you were dreaming (There’s a heartbeat And it never really died)

My daughter went to school and is friends with said niece, known as Nixie. She’s even visited her at Stevie’s Paradise Valley home where Nixie stayed sometimes when Stevie wasn’t there. Stevie apparently doted on her, and the kid turned out okay. It’s too bad Stevie chose to kill her own baby because she probably would’ve been a good mother.

It’s a beautiful, haunting song that I’ve loved since it first came out.

Stevie Nicks fell prey to a whole lot of the destructive sexual behavior and substance abuse so prevalent in the music industry of that era and this one.

She at least had a conscience and acknowledged the humanity of her child that she aborted. There’s hope for her, it wasn’t a blob of tissue and she knew it quite well to the point of needing to express it in song. If she were promoting abortion it would not have been so oblique and we’d have heard about it well before now. That song goes back to the early 80’s if not the late 70’s.

Very pretty song,

The poor girl, who could’ve been a very lucky child (here and now) on the Earth, growing up with resources so many of us will never have access too, she could’ve went to the finest schools, become a musician, author, school teacher, artist, done or been anything, a joy to her parents in their aging years (which have now come)

But instead she had the unfortunate luck of having parents that while they could’ve easily provided all that, wanted it more for themselves,

Murdered in the Holy of Holies, the womb,

“And thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through the fire to Moloch” Leviticus 18:21

“I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother’s belly.” Psalm 22:10

“From birth I have relied on you; you brought me forth from my mother’s womb. I will ever praise you.” Psalm 71:6

“For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.” Psalm 139:13-16

“Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5

“And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:” Luke 1:41

“As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy.” Luke 1:44

And while it may sound like a quaint expression to some, Jesus tells us directly that little children do in fact have guardian angels:

“Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven” Matthew 18:10

“It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.” Luke 17:2

“And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.” Revelation 18:21

Pop culture is dead for sure, today.

Back in the 60’s and 70’s there where plenty of Christian based meanings within the popular music of the “Singers and Songwriters”. Most was lost in the 1980’s but there was an upsurge in the 1990’s.

A lot of overtly Christian bands but most seemed to disguise their message.

On the subject of abortion:

Ben Folds Five - Brick

6 a.m., day after Christmas
I throw some clothes on in the dark
The smell of cold
Car seat is freezing
The world is sleeping
I am numb

Up the stairs to the apartment
She is balled up on the couch
Her mom and dad went down to Charlotte
They’re not home to find us out
And we drive
Now that I have found someone
I’m feeling more alone
Than I ever have before

She’s a brick and I’m drowning slowly
Off the coast and I’m headed nowhere
She’s a brick and I’m drowning slowly

They call her name at 7:30
I pace around the parking lot
Then I walk down to buy her flowers
And sell some gifts that I got
Can’t you see
It’s not me you’re dying for
Now she’s feeling more alone
Than she ever has before

She’s a brick and I’m drowning slowly
Off the coast and I’m headed nowhere
She’s a brick and I’m drowning slowly

As weeks went by
It showed that she was not fine
They told me, “Son, it’s time to tell the truth”
And she broke down, and I broke down
‘Cause I was tired of lying

Driving back to her apartment
For the moment we’re alone
But she’s alone
And I’m alone
And now I know it

She’s a brick and I’m drowning slowly
Off the coast and I’m headed nowhere
She’s a brick and I’m drowning slowly

So the coke head,Obama a$$ kisser who was banging everything in sight killed her baby. She didn’t want to be punished with a child.

She didn't want to be punished with FOUR babies. I wonder if the other 3 got their own songs.

She said she'd rather be the fun/cool aunt than a parent.

One can only imagine what the world is missing out on due to tens and tens of millions of potentially productive people being killed in the womb. Maybe we'd have a cure for cancer by now or have a car that gets 100 mpg.

“she had the money and education to use birth control to prevent pregnancies so this statement about her four abortions ... “

One would think that she might have consciously chosen to not conceive these children in the first place so that she would not have “had to” kill them in order to keep them from living and dreaming and impinging on her “freedom”. In other words, they had to remain “poets” in her heart.

Narcissistic. You got it. How sad. So it wasn’t only Sara, it was three others?

I think I heard her say in an interview that she regretted that she had not been able to have a child. Now we know why. How very sad and depressing.

According to National Review, she had at least four abortions. I wonder if she ever made the connection?

Was he convicted for that Polanski stunt?
I know at the concert I went to he made a comment about Fox news before they sang dirty laundry.

Fox wasn’t around when he gave the 16 year-old the qualude and alcohol.

It was just the lame stream media.

RE: contraception works if used correctly

Former abortion clinic employees (Carol Everett among others) say they don’t work and that’s why abortion providers sell them. CDC has been ripped for allowing the claim of only 1% failure rate when it is believed by many to be much higher. The older version of “the pill” had much more hormone, and was more effective at preventing pregnancy, but also had higher cancer rates. Those were taken off the market the same day the lower dose pills were approved. (Read between the lines.)

Also useful to know that P. Parenthood condoms tested with the highest failure rates of those tested.

I don’t know the specifics, only that the police raided his house and found a naked and drugged underage female. I don’t really need to know anything else. Hopefully, even as rich as he is, they are keeping a steady eye on him.
