Obama speaking to the UN.
Two questions:
See #26.
BOlton says it was stunning.... touching on reality only occasionally...
Americans riot in some communities just because their sports team won. It isn’t a sign of “a divided America”. It’s a sign of an anarchistic subculture within our borders that is encouraged by certain destabilizing groups.

This is what you all will hear:

I realize that Americas critics will be quick to point out that at times we too have failed to live up to our ideals; that America has plenty of problems within our own borders. This is true, Obama will say, according to prepared text of his address.
In a summer marked by instability in the Middle East and Eastern Europe, I know the world also took notice of the small American city of Ferguson, Missouri where a young man was killed, and a community was divided. So yes, we have our own racial and ethnic tensions. And like every country, we continually wrestle with how to reconcile the vast changes wrought by globalization and greater diversity with the traditions that we hold dear.
I dont know why they dont laugh him off the podium.
They’ll listen to anything as long as he gives them some Global Warming Money
I don't think they even laughed Nelson Mandela's pal Momar Gaddafi off the podium.
He brought Ferguson in?
I’m appalled.
.
CNN’s Christiana Amanpour came on the air looking like the cat that had just eaten the canary.
A sure sign that Hussein’s speech was a disaster for America and Israel.
It makes it all more “MEANINGFUL” and “RELEVANT”

You must not have much game. This speech is laughable...at best!
It will be panned by all networks with the possible exception of CNN...and I wouldn’t even bet on that...
agreed
“He sounds good. But what the hell is he saying?”
IMHO his campaign speeches were like that - lots of abstract and people (e.g., “his” people and LIVs) could take his words to mean whatever they wanted them to mean.
I'm guessing those arabs sitting there listening to him talk about world peace and christians, jews, and arabs living like brothers in a utopia .... well they disliked his speech as much as we do.
good comment from Bolton
The Bolton fiction comment is good.
My observation: His speeches used to generate a lot of play-by-play and after-analysis comment here on FR. Not much action on this one, even though it was pretty long. A big yawn.
A War on radical Islam (the adjective which truly defines Islam)
A War on (radical) Global Warming deniers.
A War on (radical) white policemen.
A War on (radical) people of Israel fighting for survival.
A War on (radical) white racists. (defined as if you are white, you are one)
having my head chopped off is not something I want to have to negotiate
He pronounced the word “scrutiny” this way:
“suh-cah-root-iny”
I’ll bet TOTUS spelled it correctly.
