My reaction, too.
Paterno’s level of personal power was only one or two rungs below that of the governor. He could’ve had Sandusky removed and permanently disbarred from that campus.

You don’t know what you’re talking about. Paterno was not Woody Hayes or Bear Bryant. He did not have — and did not want — any such power on the PSU campus.
