His family became synonymous with the Cape Cod where the Kennedy clad have a famous compound in Hyannis Port. But now, newlyweds Robert F Kennedy Jr and Cheryl Hines will be calling the luxury California beach enclave of Malibu their home. New photographs of the couple's property show several buildings built around an acre estate in the Point Dume area, according to Trulia.

The FReeper 1%ers ring in to criticize a house most of us could only dream of visiting on a bus tour, much less living in.

Well, obviously if EVERYBODY tried to live the way he does, it would deplete the resources for the elite to live that way.
Therefore, only a select few can live that way.
Makes sense, if you’re an elitist Ahole.

I almost got run off the road one night by RFK Jr. Coming off the Bourne bridge, heading towards Hyanis. The clown must have been going 100 miles an hour.
This was 30 years ago, but it still pisses me off to think of it.

My criticism while seeming to be directed at the house, was actually intended to be directed at the writer of the article who was so enthralled by the Kennedy name that they fell over themselves to play up the beauty of a home that while nice and clean is actually very dated and would in another location be just an average upper middle class home.
I can guarantee you that if those pictures were of ... Ted Cruz's home the writer of the article would have torn it to pieces on how dated and out of style it was.
This is akin to all those articles about how amazing Michelle Obama looks. lol

Steve, of course we can't afford a 5 million dollar home - but for people with this kind of money it is very dated. I don't know where you live, but in the Houston area, most homes are being built with granite in the kitchen and a more updated tile or stone in bathrooms. These are $120,000 homes.
My husband and I started in a 70 year old home - craftsman style, well built but old - one bathroom but original GORGEOUS hardwood floors...two closets in the entire house. We paid $24,000. My sister in law visited from California and said they were renting a very tiny travel trailer and paying more per month than we were paying to purchase our home. She was not on the coast - not in a desireable area - just the difference in costs between there and here.
I apologize if my comments offended - I wasn't trying to say the house was beneath me or horrible - but I wouldn't purchase a home that outdated even in my own price range.

Wherever we’re going in the afterlife, we won’t take our mud huts with us and they will have to leave their mansion behind.

Here is an
example of a comparable home, price wise, in this area. I think the difference in the homes is quite evident.
