This movie was also the film that Marilyn Monroe was making when she died. The same script was named “Something’s Got To Give” with Monroe in the Doris Day role and Dean Martin in the Garner role. Cyd Charise was the Polly Bergen role.
Once Monroe died, the project was scrapped as Martin not want to work with anyone else. Some of the sets in this film were the same ones used for SGTG.
But Doris Day did not do a nude pool scene. Wouldn’t have worked with her image.
