I like “Seinfeld”. DJ is right though, the other cast members were key to it’s success. It never interested me (I saw it only 1 time while it was actually still running) but my brothers were such big fans they convinced me to watch it.
I’ve seen “Benson” on tvland or something, good show. So was “Soap”, the show it was spinned off from.
“Mulaney” looks like crap, though not as bad as “Partners” on FX, from the ads that looked like the worst show ever leading to a “what were the hell were they thinking?”. Grammar and Lawrence are better than that.
“Dads” on Fox I think it was, there was another show you could tell was rancid garbage just from the previews.
There are a lot more than just one I bet
Whether it’s TV or movies, it’s all pretty much been done. And the new stuff is mostly garbage because of that and the political/societal conditions of the day (PC-ness, buggery, AA, etc.).
From Yahoo TV:
“...FX also tried a 10/90 sitcom starring George Lopez (Saint George) and another featuring Kelsey Grammer and Martin Lawrence (Partners), but neither landed the full 100-episode slate. (FX Networks CEO John Landgraf says he “probably” won’t continue with the form.) Others remain in the works, however, including one starring Kevin James.”
