I was a teen at Fort Knox in the mid-70s, so the guys who’d just come back from Germany knew about them. And Autobahn was a pretty big hit in general, here in the U.S. I’m pretty sure the AOR stations were playing a cut down version of the track, and maybe the full one at 2AM.
