I've never tried potatoes before. I need to add that to my list. I do apples and bananas for the kids but they eat them so darn fast I'm not sure it's worth it. Ha! I made zucchini chips similar to your potatoes. They were paper thin and nearly melted in your mouth. Kids still like their regular chips better.

My favorite so far with the dehydrator was my tomatoes. They took a long time but I blended them into a powder once they were good and try. They take up very little space this way and a couple of tablespoons really add a wonderful flavor to soups/stews. I don't have any of the mats yet so haven't tried the fruit leather or anything like that.

Has anyone tried to dehydrate scrambled eggs? We have plenty of eggs from the chickens and thought I might give it a whirl soon.

I haven’t tried eggs yet, that’s something that could be really tricky and could harbor some bad bacteria, if not done correctly. I’d want to get a recipe from a reliable source before I did it.

My dehydrator didn’t have and trays for fruit leather, so I used parchment paper and spraye a little EVOO on it to prevent sticking. Worked ok.
