Economically, perhaps. But anyone who knows beer knows that the Belgians are perhaps the world’s best brewers, with more amazing styles per capita than anywhere in the world.

Agreed!

But Budweiser has been steeped in Americana, deep in their roots. I visited their headquarters a few years ago (great fun!) and was moved by their American patriotism. So many years in the American dream. I think it’s a shame that they are no longer an American company.

Belgium knows their beer! But they know nothing about American patriotism.
