Amazing so many accepted an opinion with nothing scientific to back it up. What’s more is how amusing the born gay advocates view bisexuals as being in denial. Guess they can’t be born bisexual but can be born gay.

Of course! “Gay” is something you’re born with but gender is something you can choose.

It’s kinda like the leftist dogma, against creation and supportive of evolution. If they are such staunch supporters of Darwinian theory why do they want to have massive, “social welfare” programs? Shouldn’t they promote natural selection?

Other questions. Guns are bad for everyone! (except their bodyguards?) “Pro-choice” is not acceptable (life IS a choice) within the perimeter of an abortion clinic?
“Live and let live” and “tolerance” doesn’t apply to religious observances in the public square, (nor smoking, fatty foods and drink) just flag burning and gay parades?

And let’s not forget, “paper or plastic”?

If people were born sodomizers, it would not change the fact that it is a disorder. People are born with disorders for a host of reasons and many remain mysteries.

If one day we all woke up to find sodomy appealing or acceptable, it would have no bearing whatsoever on whether it is intended or whether it is moral or whether it is to be considered good behavior.

In truth, it is a disorder...a disorder, of which, all associated behaviors are bad behavior. The consequences of that bad behavior, can be both spiritually and physically, harmful and deadly. The unnaturalness, alone, is a good insight into exactly why God considers the behavior evil.

Man has to be careful not to write evil into the law. Unfortunately our Supreme Court is very careless, or very deliberate, in that respect. Our blessings have ceased...the ball is in the people’s court.

I was born naked. But when I was born I don’t remember even thinking about sex. Since I was naked I wasn’t thinking about sex, I guess I should be an asexual nudist.

Lies never help anyone in the long run.

It depends on how you define "help" and "the long run."

Kind of laughable to think there might be a genetic marker that indicates one has a “fecal fascination” and will completely disregard design tolerances in favor of perverse self gratification.

Given that little boys and girls usually prefer to associate with same-sex friends (remember cooties?), is it possible that introducing children to sex at an early age would convinced them they are gay?

I remember back in the early 90’s, Time Magazine ran a cover story about there being a “gay gene” and that homosexuals are “born that way.” Nowhere in the article was there one shred of hard evidence, all conjecture. Was I surprised? Hell no!

Even if it’s true (which it decidedly is NOT), some people are also born with a predisposition to alcoholism. Or sociopathy. Or diabetes. Those are all treated like the diseases they are and the fact that one is genetically susceptible to them does not excuse their exercise or make it more palatable. Those people are treated! No one makes a cottage industry out of defending them or forcing unafllicted people to accept their disease as “normal.”

Twin studies support this point very strongly.

A few years ago there was a story about how the brains of homosexual men are slightly different from normal men. I think it was the Amygdala that was a bit smaller in homosexual men.

I wonder what the signifigance of that is. Maybe it creates extra room for other stuff, like their well-known flair for interior decoration and window treatments.

I know I’m going to catch a lot of flack for this but I’m going to post it anyway. When I met my wife (no longer together)she had a son that was six months old. I knew, or had a pretty good idea before he was a year old, that he was going to be homosexual. I tried everything, but he acted feminine. I have always thought that it was a choice and still want to believe that but I watched this kid grow up and have know all along how he was going to turn out. I haven’t seen him in several years now and he is a full blown flaming homo. I’m not trying to defend it but I saw it with my own eyes from a very early age, I can’t explain it.

Good article. I particularly liked this statement, a fact which is often overlooked...

You can choose to act on your attractions but that doesn’t mean you chose to have the attractions.

We are born naked, where is the gene to “wear the clothes of the opposite sex” (and there are heterosexuals who enjoy that fetish as well, so it isn't “chromosome confusion”)?

“Researchers now openly admit that after searching for more than 20 years, they are still unable to find the ‘gay gene.’

There does not have to be a "gay gene" for homosexual tendencies to be inborn.

The genes are a genetic code, the instructions for assembling a person, which takes place in the womb. Just as with assembling a car, sometimes mistakes are made, and you get a lemon. That doesn't mean the directions for assembly of the car are wrong, only that they weren't followed properly in that case.

Similarly, many things affect the developing fetus. Most birth defects are not caused by defective genes, they're caused by a failure to properly replicate the genes' instructions, with most of the reasons why this happens still mysterious.

It is entirely reasonable, to my mind, that some fetuses are exposed, at a critical stage in development, to hormonal surges or other factors that cause them to fail to develop properly in this area.

If so, the condition would be inborn, but not genetic.

Not being a geneticist,a neonatologist or any other kind of physician I cannot credibly claim that nobody is *born* homosexual. But I do know two things....1) homosexuality has become *so* chic in recent years (in some circles,at least) I don't a hint of a doubt that at least some self-described homosexuals chose to be that was and 2) anyone who might have been,in fact, born homosexual should use the higher functions of the brain, understand that their desires violate the will of God (or natural law for an atheist) and, therefore, should refrain from acting on these abnormal impulses.Decent and respectable men *and* women have been successfully refraining from abnormal/harmful/destructive acts (both sexual and non-sexual) since we first learned to walk upright.

Here is an excellent recent survey of the relevant scientific research done dispassionately by a Christian biologist, Rich Deem: "Born Gay? Is Homosexuality Genetic/Biological?" ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-Nwrf2pp1Y&feature=youtu.be ). 36 minutes, worth watching and bookmarking.
