Thucydides describes the capture of Amphipolis by Brasidas in book 4, chapters 102 to 108, and mentions in passing in book 5, chapter 26, that “it happened, too, that I was banished from my country for twenty years after my command at Amphipolis...”

I read “The Peloponnesian War” while I was still in high school. Just too much information to remember 50 years later.

My old prof at Troy, Dr. Agnew would have probably been able to tell any detail of the war. He was possibly the smartest man I ever knew.
