“Brace for impact!”
There was a tense moment as everyone braced for a titanic collision.
Instead, there was a faint *bonk* sound and a surprised hobbit careened off the main viewport.
The crew, startled and confused by this development, consulted the scans again.

Hidden behind the dense shielding, the master bowler chuckled to himself. “After I toss a couple of elves and they’ve learned to completely ignore their equipment, it will be your turn, my fighting Uruk-Hai!”

Wormtongue, I thought I might have heard a question. Can you run and get my fireball-spitting wand?

Or did I maybe not hear a question after all?

The road out front is a river being fed by driveway tributaries.

Not at Busdaddy’s house because I have had to use it in the last couple of days.

We got about half-way through the Mob Museum and had to leave. Busdaddy was not feeling well at all. We got home and his BP was 90/50. His doctor needs to do something about his BP pills. As locals, we got a discount on the entry fees. I liked what I saw of it, and would like to finish the visit.

They had the actual brick wall from Chicago from the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre. There were a lot of old artifacts from Prohibition and the first brick-building casino in Las Vegas.

Busdaddy was too ill to even sit in the electric chair and have his piccie taken!

The Guides were all dressed in various combinations of black and white, but mostly black shirts and slacks with white ties and Fedoras. Pretty cool, for sure.

I will probably miss it because I’m not home at the moment and can’t concentrate on what’s coming up.

It’s going to cost $18 for the duplicate license, but I will have to walk for a while, I think. I can order it online, and it will take abut 10 days, but if I get stopped while it’s in the pipeline, I won’t get a ticket.

Dang, that upsets me.

We’ve been getting it here, too, but the drainage is a little more successful.

Must hold very still. So far the swarm hasn’t noticed me. It’s still picking the meat off the bones of the deer. It’s amazing how fast that big guy went down.

Oh, lord, is that a sneeze I feel coming on?

"The road out front is a river being fed by driveway tributaries."

When that happens around here, I just sing, "I am a rock; I am an i-i-island. ... I have my books, and my poetry to protect me ..."

Yep. That's what I do.

"Oh, I love a rainy night, such a beautiful sight ..."

Yep.

"Busdaddy was too ill to even sit in the electric chair and have his piccie taken!"

Reminds me of Leona Helmsley, (The "Queen of Mean"), who was too ill to sit in a jail cell.

Yep.

Rain

Rain refreshes. Rain rewards.
Kills our thirst with liquid swords.
Washes all the dust away,
And bends the light at end of day.

Rain helps soothe us into sleep,
Cleans up the world we’re sworn to keep.
We tend to it, and it to us,
We’re well rewarded for the fuss.

Like magic mushrooms popping up,
Our food shows in the flowing cup,
A horn of plenty, our reward,
And liquid coolness from the gourd.

Rain comes by to cool our brow,
To give a rest from labors now,
While forces sent from up above,
Gently whisper, “Here’s the Love!”
