what the hell is the idiot that wrote this talking about?

Does he believe for ONE SECOND that if employers stop offering healthcare that they will pass those savings along to their employees in the form of higher wages?

ROFL

Anyone who loses their employer health coverage will just have to pay for Obamacare out of their old salary. Which means millions of Americans will take a pay cut.

THANKS OBAMA!

Who said that? Zeke Emanuel? That’s Rahm’s older brother, steeped just as deeply in liberalism (a fellow at CAP) and a big proponent of voucher-based “universal” healthcare. He apparently opposes legalizing euthanasia—for now.

Employers might do that, pass the savings in not having a group plan on to their employees, but it will not be nearly enough for them to get anywhere near the same coverage on their own.

Exactly right. The money that’s used by employers to pay the majority of a health plan will just disappear. That’s really part of one’s wages now, just diverted towards the premium.

It’s called a “benefit” for a reason. It’s part of your overall compensation for working for Company A. When they get rid of it all together and dump people onto Obamacare every full time employee takes a pay cut.

The long term GOP plan is to give the health tax deduction the employer now gets to the employee in the form of a tax credit.

Then the employee can use that money to buy insurance on the open market.

Consumer driven health care will drive costs down IMO.
