I never experienced such a thing until I moved to CA and I've seen it twice now, once for something I couldn't quite figure out and the other time they were looking for someone suffering from Alzheimer's who had “escaped” or whatever.

It's a very disconcerting event that needs to be stopped, IMO.

I don't believe their “excuse” and I'm of the opinion it was an exercise in “control”.

there might in fact be a missing girl but what I think is almost certain is that they are trying to condition citizens to the concept of a helicopter blaring down audible mass messages.

There's a Texas Roadhouse at 1420 N. Peachtree Road in Mesquite, TX.

I would shelter in place there. All the peanuts you can eat (and you can toss the shells on the floor!) as well as hand-cut steaks, fall-off-the-bone ribs, home-made sides and fresh-basked rolls. Not to mention all the cold beer you can drink. Sure, the line-dancers are annoying as all get -out when they dance to "Achy-Breaky Heart" or "Footloose" but after a few cold ones, you won't mind too much. If you join them, then you know you've had too much and it's time to go home.

Oh yeah, make sure you hide the dog in a closet before you go.

Something similar happened in my neighborhood once. I was out walking after dark. A helocopter was circling overhead. They spotted me, and shown a spotlight in me. They followed me for several blocks until I got home and entered my house. They were looking for a teenage girl who had run away from home. I guess she was dressed like me. She went home on her own later that same night.

We’ve had one fly over to warn the neighborhood that someone had escaped police custody and was loose in the neighborhood. We were advised to stay indoors and keep the doors locked.
