Pigs have a few viruses that are communicable to humans. That doesn’t seem to be holding us back at all.

And then there’s mad cow disease. (No. I’m not talking about anyone’s ex-wife.) Yes. We still eat beef and we’re not testing in the US as much as other countries.

There is a market for it for kids with autoimmune diseases, celiac disease, diabetes (type-1) and autism. Not something that the average Joe will get into, but helpful for sick kids. Israel was doing studies on kids with severe food allergies and camel’s milk. The results were so stunning that it’s now considered ‘medicine’ in Israel and the kids are getting it.

I was wanting to get my hands on some for my son a few years ago. Right now, I hesitate to jump on this because all milk must be pasteurized in the US. If I recall, the Israeli studies showed that the milk had to unpasteurized and fresh to be effective. I’ll have to do more digging.

Would alpaca or llama milk have the same effect?

Camels need their milk to nurse their offspring sired by their, ahem, shall we say, owners?

The first time I am stuck at the coffee shop behind some douchebag handlebar moustached Occupy Wall Street hipster as he orders a Double Mocha Latte with effing camel milk... I vow that after he gets it and I am stepping up for my Large Black Coffee... I will knock that Latte from his faggotty uncalloused hands and punch the jackass in the face.
