planes like that could potentially be used for an EMP attack, and if the transponders could be removed from the planes they would be invisible to radar making it possible for them to fly to ANY point over the US and detonate a nuke for an EMP attack.

Radar doesn’t need a transponder to be operational and detect an airplane.
