As it happens you had the means to bring him to justice because the phone had been easily located by the Find My iPhone app. BWAAHAHAHAHA. Police don't bother with following up on phone thefts.
I know too many people who've been instructed as such by HPD.

What would make the father think that, the punk obviously hadn’t been given any harsh sentences before. Probably got “strongly cautioned” a lot, then probation, time served, etc. Certainly he didn’t learn not to rob people.
