Truthfully, I thinks it’s highly unlikely there was any meaning on the part of Williams’ attire in 1978. That whole earth-tone, rainbow stuff was such a common visual motif of the time. It was a widespread “look” pre-dating the faggots attempt at appropriating it for themselves. It was all over the place. Some glances at issues of “Tiger Beat” or “Dynamite” magazine from the mid-to-late-1970s would be chock full of that sort of thing, I can guarantee.
Sorry, just don't see Mork as "promoting the homo agenda." Feel free to post facts that indicate otherwise.
You seem to have an errant “l” in your title.
Not as bad as “Archangel.”
I just saw an old “WKRP in Cincinnati” and the only thing on the front of Baily’s desk was a rainbow. Like bunkerhill7 said a few posts ago. The rainbow belongs to God, there will be literally hell to pay for the sodomites using it like they do.
I don’t know about the rainbow flag issue for that time frame, but I can say that TV programs were definitely pushing all sorts of social agenda back then. I would not let the grandchildren watch those shows.
If I had to park them in front of the idiot box, which I have yet to do when mine are visiting, I would find the channel that plays the old “Lone Ranger” series.
Show me another actor wearing a “test pattern” and I`ll bake you berry brownies on Sunday morning.
Given Williams' politics, I bet he snuck it in past the producers (who were probably not aware of the gay propaganda at the time), and I'd say that the burden of proof lies on the person who claims that Williams was NOT promoting the Sodomite agenda. Children see the outfit of the friendly Mork, and draw a positive association with the rainbow suspenders... a Sodomite wearing rainbow suspenders at a pride parade would thus create a positive association in an impressionable mind.
Best explanation of the rainbow flag I’ve ever read.
Whether Williams did or not, it is highly likely the producers, wardrobe people, and others behind the scenes did.
As you said the media forced the connection--and much of what happens there comes from behind the camera, not in front of it.
Williams wasn't such a big name then and was not in a position to dictate what he would or would not do.
I am in no position to tell anyone what someone else was thinking, on any issue, but I will note Robin Williams did USO shows for the troops, so I'm not ready to throw the guy under the bus, especially posthumously.
The bottom line is that the homolobby often appropriated things which were popular.
The "Keep your laws off my body" bumper stickers started with Bikers fighting mandatory helmet laws, and within a year the homos were using it (they got scraped off a lot of old pickup bumpers when that started).
The rainbow, not only a symbol of divine promise, but colorful and appealing especially to children, was similarly co-opted by the homos--and rapidly abandoned by those who were not.
I can tell you where they stole the rainbow flag from.
My niece was a rainbow girl (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Order_of_the_Rainbow_for_Girls) related to Masons and Eastern Star.
They had the rainbow flag but didn’t copyright it. The Homos flat out stole the flag and rainbow girls had to give it up when the meaning changed. I’m not sure but maybe they reversed the colors?
But that’s not the Homosexual pride flag. This one has all the colors of the rainbow: Red, orange, yellow, green, light blue, blue and purple (although the last 3 are usually blue, indigo & violet). The homo pride flag only has six colors not seven. They usurped the rainbow, but not all the colors.
However rainbow flags and churches like that in the pic usually mean homo-friendly, so that’s odd as well.
