The other day here in Houston an Indian store clerk who got his permit several years ago killed a would be robber. He carries his Glock on his side. The robber pointed a gun at him and he said he knows lots of times after you give them the money they still kill you. So he pulled his pistol out of the holster and shot the dude in the face. There was a happy ending.
