Glenn Beck was bashing Americans opposed to illegal immigration, decrying partisan politics, and positioning himself toward the center just as he was reportedly trying to strike a deal to get his programming on CNN.
CNN's Brian Stelter reported that "the idea fizzled fast and talks aren't expected to resume." CNN and HLN are expected to lay off at least 550 more people in what is being called another "bloodbath," and Beck was reportedly trying to get on the HLN network, where he got his first break in cable television.
Stelter, who is one of the best-sourced reporters in the television industry and made a name for himself out-scooping more established mainstream media reporters, claimed he had no knowledge of the negotiations whatsoever when he unusually gave Beck two Sundays worth of relatively good PR, showcasing Beck's Texas offices and future plans.
During that interview, Stelter said industry sources have said that major cable networks are reluctant to pick up Beck's network because "there's no other must-see TV on the channel." However, Stelter's line of questioning revealed that industry executives may be hesitant to make deals with someone who once referred to President Barack Obama as a racist and accused Obama of having problems with white people.
Stelter suggested that Beck was responsible for inflaming much of the polarization he now decries during his mainstream media appearances and told him that many Americans remember Beck for "saying on [Fox News] that President Obama is a racist." Beck said he regretted making the comment and replied, "we all live and learn."
Stelter also praised Beck for how "you evolve your views" and "change your mind" on issues, and Beck mentioned that he does so after various "pivot points……

Seems to me that he was conservative when it paid for him to be, and now that being moderate apparently pays better, that’s what he is now. To me, that kind of behavior defines a “political whore.” That’s why I don’t watch or listen to him anymore.
Back to drinking?
Joe Scarborough never had a show on Fox News. He dreams of having a show on Fox with an audience, but in the real world he’s always been on the barely watched MSNBC.
Glenn Beck is nothing but a self-serving media whore whose mental health is questionable to boot.
Nothing he does surprises me anymore and I haven’t listened to word he’s said since Fox kicked him off of his TV show there.
Do You not realize he was Once on HLN? And he did good show on it.
he raised their ratings a lot for a while, back when he could be called a conservative
For a while he was a front bencher. Don’t think he’ll ever regain that status.
At this point who knows. This thread is kind of loopy with misinformation being fueled By Breitbart who has the claws out for him just like if it were Alex Jones. I say Breitbart is mad at The Blaze for hiring Dana Loesch. If they were upset by Andrew Wilkow leaving The Blaze then they would have mentioned it by now.
They have a right to be critical of Glenn and to be against his visit to the border that he made. But they are basically devoting a lot of time to attacking Glenn anymore. And one has to look at the motives.
One can’t deny that former Breitbart editor, Dana Loesch left to The Blaze after suing Breitbart in a nasty lawsuit. Breitbart is still ticked off by the settlement that was reached. Dana and the people at Breitbart do not get along. They had a twitter spat a few months back.
and Congress will never approve them...when they get in power, they want it to be permanent for them until they carry them out on a slab or stretcher...
I'm totally fed up with both parties. Hatch, Pelosi, reid, mecain, and I regret my vote for mccain, but then I voted because of Sarah not mc cain. even my rep. Bill Schuster, it is time for him to go, also...and lord help me Bob Casey, the church mouse who goes into hiding...he is such a fool...and on and on it could go...
I truly weep for the Nation we once were...The Nation my dad, brother, and husband fought for...Our Military is being destroyed daily by Hussein obama...
I bid everyone a niter with dreams of a better America...
Didn’t Beck once work for CNN? Then they $hitcanned him for being too conservative. So he went to work for Fox, and they $hitcanned him for being too radical. So he created his own media empire, aka Alex Jones. But I really don’t care. I still think his book “Arguing With Idiots” was hilarious. It takes you back to the ABC’s of conservatism in a very cynical, sarcastic way. It’s a good read.
If O’Reilly were hired by MSNBC he would be their biggest Obama supporter. He’s an actor. Most of them are. Did you know at one time old fatty Ed Shultz was a conservative radio talk show host? He said he left the republican party because he didn’t think they did enough for common people. So yes Ed Shultz, the lunatic liberal on MSNBC used to talk about liberals as bad as he now talks about conservatives. It’s entertainment!
I quit lessoning to Beck Two years ago, freakin’ guy cries about everything all the time. I think he needs a large bottle of Midol...
yeah. I wish he would quit talking to leftist sources in interviews. He tends to back track on a lot of what he says on his shows. Having said that he did a lot of good shows in the past. The problems began when people got confused about him leaving Fox News, didn’t want to pay for The Blaze so missed out, then The Blaze let go of Andrew Wilkow. Glenn started confusing people when he started to claim he was libertarian. He got attacked by hosts who claimed he ripped them off like A;ex Jones and for a time people like Mark Levin. And on and on it went.
Becks buddies were subbing last week for him and are much more coherent. A few times they said to write into the Federal Trade Commission to stop the Comcast/Time-Warner cable merger
Beck is trying to delay and mess with this merger by complaining to the FCC about Comcasts monopolistic and unfair practices of not carrying the Blaze. This is how Glenn Beck thinks he can get Comcast to carry the Blaze. By being an irritant and delaying this merger

Meet the Obama donors behind the Time Warner Cable/Comcast merger
Wednesday, Aug 13, 2014 at 1:14 PM EST
It has been just two days since Glenn first asked his listeners to visit GetTheBlaze.com and fill out the FCC comments form in regards to the proposed merger of Time Warner Cable and Comcast. Just 10,000 comments would have made a significant impact, but some 22,000 responses have already poured in from concerned Americans who do not believe this merger is in the public interest.
On radio this morning, Glenn thanked the audience for their overwhelming response over the last several days and encouraged people to tell their friends and family to make their voices heard as well. Glenn, Pat, and Stu also offered some startling insight into why Comcast executives are marching through the Congressional testimony and FCC comments period seemingly without fear.
I used to visit The Blaze up until a couple of years ago, then I gave up on it. Many of the articles are poorly written and amateurish, even though they’re about the same topics that you can read on Drudge, FR, etc. And they apparently have no control over their forums. They let all the trolls, creeps, morons and racists in, the posters get into stupid flame wars, and it’s just not worth my time to either read or respond.
Ping!
Yep. He has joined the Nazi occupyinf the Americans. These people are greedy. They got there through callous narcissism.
Beck is a self aggrandizing opportunist.
LOL, Beck really is such a fraud. He used to go on and on about how terrible the people at CNN ( or was it HLN)were to him, how they hated him, how glad he was to leave, etc.
He must have lost a LOT of subscribers. Oh, well, he brought it on himself.
As one said of Benedict Arnold, “Money is this man’s god.”
