Glenn Beck was bashing Americans opposed to illegal immigration, decrying partisan politics, and positioning himself toward the center just as he was reportedly trying to strike a deal to get his programming on CNN.
CNN's Brian Stelter reported that "the idea fizzled fast and talks aren't expected to resume." CNN and HLN are expected to lay off at least 550 more people in what is being called another "bloodbath," and Beck was reportedly trying to get on the HLN network, where he got his first break in cable television.
Stelter, who is one of the best-sourced reporters in the television industry and made a name for himself out-scooping more established mainstream media reporters, claimed he had no knowledge of the negotiations whatsoever when he unusually gave Beck two Sundays worth of relatively good PR, showcasing Beck's Texas offices and future plans.
During that interview, Stelter said industry sources have said that major cable networks are reluctant to pick up Beck's network because "there's no other must-see TV on the channel." However, Stelter's line of questioning revealed that industry executives may be hesitant to make deals with someone who once referred to President Barack Obama as a racist and accused Obama of having problems with white people.
Stelter suggested that Beck was responsible for inflaming much of the polarization he now decries during his mainstream media appearances and told him that many Americans remember Beck for "saying on [Fox News] that President Obama is a racist." Beck said he regretted making the comment and replied, "we all live and learn."
Stelter also praised Beck for how "you evolve your views" and "change your mind" on issues, and Beck mentioned that he does so after various "pivot points……

Cancelled my Blaze chan on Dish and on interet after the Bundy snub by him (among other things).
He can preach to someone else. I’m tired of his crap. Most of his info was stolen from Malkin and Horowitz. Beck’s days are over. And his network sucks, btw. What’s with the frikkin’ cheesy 80’s intro with every ‘inclusive grievance group’ on the planet?
We all had our suspicions about Mr. Beck. Yeah, he sold out for the $$$$.
The problem, Glenn, is that the Devil doesn’t rent souls, and you sold yours. Best of luck with your new friends.
Doesn’t Beck still run The Blaze? What will become of it if he joins CNN?
I cannot listen to him on the radio. He is all over the place—more tangents than a trigonometry book.
Rush has never done anything quite so transparently meretricious. He’s just gotten more and more bland, uninteresting, and irrelevant.
About 99% of Rush’s show is What Some Stupid Liberal Said Last Night on Some Liberal Network.
I despised The Blaze. Especially their Twitter acct. They posted headlines worded as clickbait.
I'm guessing that he's trying to buy airtime, like the informercials.
He's tried to purchase networks like Al Jazeera, and other small, unsuccessful networks, but they refuse to sell to him.
Good one. I use to watch him on Fox and then started listening on my way to work in the car. . . .but not for long.
So Beck “evolves” to left wing progressive and now they love him. YEAH I knew it.
I remember him on CNN Headline News, too. I guess he’s trying to call in some favors over there because he can’t sustain his own venture?
My guess is that he is bleeding cash rigbt now due to his stupidity.
Prezactly. He KNEW he screwed up after the Bundy raid. I hears him whining about his critics.
> I expect that he has alienated a great deal of his audience with the we must donate to the army invading our country crap.
He lost my respect when he flipped to the other side recently. Whoever made the comment about him being the best deal guy was right on the money.
^heard^
99.9% of all talk show hosts are actors playing a role.
Beck’s holy grail is to get Blaze TV on Comcast. Maybe Blaze will go bankrupt without this. Glen is going liberal and responsible to get on Comcast. Trying to cast off his right wing nut persona.
Maybe he figures Comcast can’t get rid of him once he gets a slot. Then he can go back to his normal political views..... My guess
What happened to his personal network?
C N N ?
The only Beck I listen to plays a musical instrument not magical underwear.
