Did I understand correctly?
The Farmers' Almanac takes their forecasts from Joe Bastardi?

Cool!

I don’t think he was saying that exactly, but just noticing an interesting coincidence.

Once again, thanks for posting this. His forecasts a week to two weeks out are more accurate in broad strokes than anything shown in detail for my location dispatched by the NWS.

Thanks again, Excellence. I admire Joe’s fact-based.analyses. His broad-area predictions are mostly spot on, and better than the bobble heads locally.

Joe does a great job if you have some understanding of weather science terminology. I wish he would try to do some educatin’ for the masses.

If people don’t know the terms PDO and AMO (which Joe uses but I have always referred to as AMDO) they aren’t going to get what he’s saying. Folks who get their weather forecasts on TV with pictures of smiling suns and crying clouds are not going to get Joe or the global warming scam.

Of course, “Against ignorance the gods themselves are powerless.”

Thanks for posting, E!

The Weatherbell website has a glossary, but it's superficial compared to Steve McIntire’s.

You’re up early on a Sunday morning. Wishes for a wonderful day and to paraphrase Joe, “there is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather.” —Ruskin.

Sunday morning I go out for coffee at Starbucks. They open at 5:00. It’s my only treat. I see desert hares on my way out, but by sunrise they’re back in their dens.
