Just want to ban all that is fun and enjoyable. I guess soylent green will be the next to go. ;-)
True dictatorship when the federales can prevent children in “Elyria, Ohio” that they can’t have their link cookie treats. When will Americans finally wake up, anyway?! This administration is a Giant theatre of the absurd.
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
Why do the Feds have a say in what local schools serve as lunches and snacks, anyway?
They won’t be banned in the teacher’s lounge.
The Moms, and Dads too, in the neighborhood should find the recipe and be there handing them out at the end of every school day. With appropriate media coverage, of course :-)
I will bet you that 40 years ago kids ate this pink cookie and did not get fat. And 30 years ago. And 20. What changed?
Cut ties with the federal lunch program, problem solved.
One more job lost because of government regulation.
OK, we each give the federal government $100.00.
They give us back one dollar, and from then on any activity even remotely related to the spending of that dollar is subject to federal review and approval.
As here, by strict adherence to federal “guidelines”: a euphemism for ‘Rules and Regulations’.
And once they become established, they’re impossible to get rid of; once they nose you out of the tent, you’re sitting outside wondering why your kid can’t have pink cookies at school, like their parents and grandparents.
I would tell you why, but Auto correct won’t let me use the necessary words.
I would send my child to school every day with a nutritious lunch and a homemade pink cookie, just daring anyone to take it away or say something. However that scenario would require me to have child in school, which I do not, I homeschooled and we ate whatever we wanted.
The same lying imbecile incompetents who told you "butter bad, margarine good" are pushing this snake oil.
If you like your pink cookies, you can keep your pink cookies, period.
Replace the butter with rancid phytoestrogen-rich, Monsanto patented soybeans... and everything with be just fine.
You know what, if I ran that school district, I’d just tell the feds to “flake off” (although I’d use another word). Somebody, somewhere has to do it.
MOOschelle who has an ass as wide as a sofa should have no say what other people eat. An unelected POS.
a pound of butter for how big a batch?
What?!! You mean there are people who have eaten those cookies 40 years ago and they're still alive???!!!!
yet another reason I’m glad I went finished highschool in the 90’s. The school had delicious cinnabuns...no one checked our lunch brought from home!
