Okay, Whovians, your long wait is over.

I’m glad they started bringing family members in with the companions. It really adds to the show and some of them pay pretty prominent roles. Donna Nobel’s grandfather Wilfred was with the Tennant Doctor at the end.
I do wonder what happened with Rory’s dad. He asked in the last season if Rory and Amy would be OK and it ended up that the Angels got them in 1930s NY.
Peter Capaldi plays a Bishop on the 3 Musketeers series right now.
Capaldi has said this new Doctor/series will be darker.
I have been watching him in The Musketeers. He handles the role as the corrupt Cardinal pretty well.
some of the science-time-travel stuff is interesting but the story line is always dark and foreboding and always an ULTIMATE sort of danger to humankind
they could make the story and the doctor more interesting by giving him a wider birth in his relationships, and building some stories on those kind of human difficulties “for the doctor” on that personal level, even while throwing in some big danger he must attend to
Cardinal, that’s it.
Heh! Thanks for the i fo and will tell my teen who loves the show. :)
The new Who already looks like he needs to regenerate.
What: BBC show
Where: BBC in England and BBC America

Why: Something to pass the time
Yes, for us mature fellows.
Holy crap! Now I recognize the actor! (gawd, he’s aged)
He was in one of my favorite movies called “Local Hero”. When I lived in the UK, we always traveled to that spot where it was filmed. My parents came to visit and we took them there. Much beloved spot of my hubby. So much, my mom, who is a fantastic artist, painted the red phone box for him from the movie. He has it hanging in his office.

Some also wanted a black doctor which I wouldnt have minded but those who were behind the idea would give no names of actors who could pull it off. Some camps also suggested a woman doctor but that would have ended it for me.
Barrack Obama would have made a great Doctor. He could party with celebrities throughout history and blame everything that goes wrong on his predecessors.
He looks like Ray Walston from My Favorite Martian.
yippee!!!!! Unfortunately I will be busy so I have to record it...but will watch as soon as possible.
Lord I hope so! I was NOT a fan of the last one.
There is only one Dr Who and is was Tom Baker
There’s so many Doctors now it’s like remembering US Presidents.
I can’t wait.....to see if this guy can pull off being “The Doctor” He’s got BIG shoes to fill, Matt Smith is going to be hard to beat.
I love the Blink episode.
