Ryan Truex taken to hospital after practice crash UPDATE3: NASCAR Sprint Cup rookie #83-Ryan Truex hit the Turn 2 wall hard Saturday morning in the day's opening practice session at Michigan International Speedway. Running eight laps in the early morning session, Truex lost the back end of his #83 Toyota. The car corrected and shot head-on into the outside wall. Keselowski 25th driver to win in all three series: with Brad Keselowski's Camping World Truck win at Bristol Motor Speedway on Thursday morning (see details on the race on

Keselowski becomes just the sixth driver to have a win in each of the series at one track [2 Cup wins at Bristol, 1 in Nationwide and now 1 in Trucks], joining Kyle Busch (10 tracks), Kevin Harvick (5), Mark Martin (4), Carl Edwards (Dover) and Bobby Labonte (Martinsville).
Keselowski also is the fifth driver to score a win in the same season across NASCAR's three national series having won 3 Cup races in 2014, 3 Nationwide races and one Truck Series race.(8-21-2014)

3M Hire Our Heroes Campaign to Honor America's Heroes at Bristol UPDATE: At the NASCAR Sprint Cup race night race at Bristol, NASCAR star Greg Biffle will be driving a #16 3M Ford Fusion with a strong force behind it - the power of the 3M Hire Our Heroes program. Biffle's #16 3M Hire Our Heroes Ford Fusion will feature a paint scheme created by legendary car designer Chip Foose to honor the veterans recognized through the 3M Hire Our Heroes program in 2014. To date, some 55 military members and their families have received tool grants and scholarships through the program, totaling some $250,000. It is the second year that the 3M Automotive Aftermarket Division has led the 3M Hire Our Heroes program and run a special paint scheme with Chip Foose. For the Bristol race, Biffle's hood design reflects the transition of a soldier in camouflage to a collision industry professional. The camouflage is peeling away to showcase the stars and stripes underneath. On the hood, a saluting soldier is flanked by two auto body repairers - a painter and a welder.(3M PR)(8-14-2013)

As I watch the DVR of the Truck Race run this AM there are very few in the Stands all around the track. As FS1 goes to commercial after the “big one” they show a camera shot of A FULL, PACKED TO THE GILLS FRONT GRANDSTAND!!!
So which is it in reality?

might be cheaper/easier security wise to keep the fans close together so they let people who have tickets for the cheap seats sit front and center if they are empty instead of spread out?

I see Your point. What I saw was Live Racing with very few in the stands and then they went to a commercial break and had a shot of the Front Stretch Stands PACKED FULL like the old days.

I know what it is but when I first saw the photo I thought it was a hash pipe. Not that I’ve ever seen one or anything
Took a couple of days off and went to the coast and ate take-out clam chowder on a bench in a cove on a windless day at Depoe Bay and watched Orca’s chase seals. Great fun except to the seals. Everyone needs to get away now and then to clear the cobwebs.
