Before pitbulls became so prominent, dobies were the scariest (and best) guard dogs.

I think the phrase (and movie?) “they only kill their masters” was about dobies.

She is fortunate it did not take extreme umbrage.

the only dog I've ever been bitten by was a doberman owned by a now deceased ex-friend I shared a house with.......

To this day I'll never figure out why it attacked me from behind.

But then again, my ex-friend had a bad habit of beating the dog when he thought it misbehaved..and I mean BEAT.
