In a written statement to Fox News, Palin, a contributor to the network, was quoted as saying: We said wed send the good guys in Washington their reinforcements, so, Alaska, here we go! Vote for Joe Miller on Tuesday and shake off the liberal stronghold so we can get on the right track.

And her third cousin likes the Green Party candidate and her hairdresser picked the libertarian. So what?
Lol.
Seems like the election is coming up on Tuesday.
I made a donation to the Miller campaign.
ain’t that the truth .
Didn’t Miller already lose a statewide race recently?
Alaskans rarely nominate anyone good, and their election records is disappointing too.

Dunno.
Here’s a link to a previous post. (above)
God’s speed Joe! it would be great to see you face off against murky in the senate. i’ll give and give again.
far from it. Miller got the McDaniel treatment from the GOP.
It isn’t “stealing” to actually get more votes than your opponent — especially as a write-in candidate.
She should have endorsed him, rather than stabbing him in the back. She should have honored her commitment to abide by the results of the Republican Primary.
But she did not “steal” the election.
ditto
The GOP senate caucus at the time let the Alaska voters know that they would be forgiven for voting against Murkowski in the primary if they would vote against the GOP nominee (Miller) in the general.
“Jim DeMint chides GOP senators for protecting Lisa Murkowski”
“It was bad enough to watch my colleagues work to support her in the primary after she had built a record of betraying conservatives principles, writes DeMint. But watching them back her after she left the party and launched a campaign against the Republican nominee was more than I could bear.”
“DeMint revealed some details from the closed-door Senate Republican caucus meeting Wednesday.
One senator after another stood up to argue in favor of protecting her place on the committee a position she will no doubt use in her campaign against Joe Miller, the conservative Republican nominee, writes DeMint.”
True, but she did not. So how can you defend her?
You seem to have a different meaning of “defend” than is common.
I’m defending the english language, not Lisa.
“Stealing” an election is a term used when someone commits ballot fraud, or otherwise rigs an election. In this case, sadly, she was actually able to get more write-in votes than he did.
I liken this to the Leiberman race in Connecticut, where he lost his primary, and then decided to run as an independent. Republicans abandoned our candidate (which they should not have done) and voted for Joe, and he defeated the democrat.
We could say that Joe also dishonored his pledge to support the winner of a primary — but we did not say he “stole” the election.
That was my point, and I made it clear how I felt about what Lisa did, as you noted in your response.
I would also “defend” her if you said she murdered someone, or had had sexual relations with a mule.
It was sad when DeMint left the Senate, he had integrity which is sorely lacking amongst most.
I don’t remember the democrats promising to give Lieberman his assignments if he won his independent bid. But they ended up doing so anyway, and he pretty much stayed democrat.
This was one of those early “establishment” attacks on the conservative candidates, and one of the more egregious, although given Lisa’s record it could be they were more scared that she’d switch to the democrats (at the time, they actually thought they’d win control of the senate, while stabbing conservative candidates in the back).
Or it could just be the obvious, the establishment of the GOP more aligned with the democrats, and like the democrats, focused on always defeating efforts to move the nation away from liberalism.
It is what they have done for generations.
