This week's movie is a superb film noir directed by Fritz Lang and starring Edward G. Robinson. Robinson is a middle-aged, straight-arrow professor whose momentary lapse in judgment draws him into a web of deceit, murder, and coverup. Co-starring Joan Bennett, Raymond Massey, and Dan Duryea.

BTW, I'm putting together a ping list, so if anyone is interested, let me know. I'm primarily posting film noir and WW2 movies, but will expand into westerns and (hopefully) international/foreign films when I get the opportunity. There will also be a "clip of the week" for rarer/obscure films I think people might find interesting.
BTW, Lang and the studio were pressured by the movie codes/morals board of the day to lighten the mood/theme of the film. Lang resisted for the most part, but there is one rather obvious concession at one point in the film (you’ll see what I mean).

I just recently had the chance to see this movie and it was a good one!
I’ve gotten to where I order old films from TCM or AMAZON.
Who needs modern CGI si-fi movies when you got this great stuff to watch which doesn’t make your ears burn with vile language and actually HAS A PLOT!
last night and tonight I’ve been watching some old Boris Karloff movies I’ve never seen! Right now I am watching THE TOWER OF LONDON.

I just enjoyed Orwell”s “1984” starring Edmund O’Brien on You Tube. I think I’ll do more of this.
