The sexuality of fan favorite Daryl Dixon (played by Norman Reedus) has long been a source of speculation for Walking Dead fans, and in an interview with comicbook.com, series creator Robert Kirkman addressed the question directly. When asked whether Daryl's being homosexual was a possibility they had considered, Kirkman said, All I can say is that its been discussed. We have very specific ideas about Daryls sexuality (or the seeming lack thereof), and if theres ever a quiet period in the show where hes not consistently distracted by crossbowing
well tackle it in the show. The interviewer followed up by asking whether AMC would be okay with Daryl being gay, to which Kirkman responded, For the record, they absolutely would. Judging by the season-five trailer there aren't a lot of quiet periods in our future (couldn't they have addressed this when we were hanging out at that damn farmhouse?), but hey, you never know.
YOU talk to him........
I see GeronL’s viewpoint. If the Lizzy episode was the first one I saw out of the whole series, I’d be disturbed by it, too.
But thankfully, I saw most of the episodes leading up to it, so I saw it as just another astonishing exploration of the world after civilization crumbles.
Alright already, you've admitted that you don't like it, you no longer watch it so why are you still here?
Lonely?
Yes it was, very hard to watch. I would also say that Carol did not "enjoy" what she had to do. She was struggling with it. There are no rules anymore in the society that The Walking Dead inhabits. You are watching what happens when civil society disintegrates. That young girl was a danger to all those around her. Carol had to do the most difficult thing, and it was hard for her to do it; but, she had to and she stepped up.
This show is asking us, "what would you do?" in these situations, when there is no longer black and white. When the rules are out the window.
I also found it interesting that Rick had to kill Sophia early on in the series (Sophia being Carol's daughter who had turned into a "walker"), and now Carol has been put into a similar situation, and she responds in a similar fashion. Neither of them would have thought themselves capable of such a thing; but, when put into an impossible situation what would we do?
He’s not gay in real life. His baby momma was the Danish model in the Chris Issack video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WtfHk2hSlqA.
They already had a couple of lesbians last season. Do we really need redneck buggary too?
Wow, thanks for that valuable insight and welcome aboard Captain Obvious!.........LOL!
No you don't, it ain't about "viewpoint", it's all about her dropping in on a thread about a TV program she watched little of and doesn't watch any more............
That's called "TROLLING"........
Do you drop into the Religion Forum and make incindiary comments designed to create arguments? Of course you don't.......That's called respect for the participants on that particular forum........
him
and it is not trolling
it is commenting and expressing an opinion on a topic, addressing an episode I did see.
That’s right. The new season looks to be very good. Daryl isn’t going to ‘go gay’. Pure hype.
I detest those idiotic commercials.
But they're still dead and stinking which would bring the flies. Zombies don't spend a lot time swatting flies so the flies would have free run on the juiciest parts of their face, ie their eyes.
Oops obviously a true believer.
Agreed. I think CJ is right---this is just Kirkman being Kirkman.
Agreed, that is why the wife and I stopped watching "Lost Girl". If it is integral to the story fine, but this gratuitous crap is beginning to tick me off.
LOL. I like your tagline!
What makes me laugh is the guests on Talking Dead, from the show. They talk about their characters as if they are real.
“Maggie wouldn’t do that” “I feel that Glen would react differently...” or whatever. Let me tell ya, Maggie (and all the others) will do whatever the writers say she’ll do.
Now Daryl being gay? Not even the writers can make that true!!!! No way honey!
Lol, anybody eager to see Rosie O’Donnell ever, in any case?? Dancing or not
Uh uh! Ginger and MaryAnn!
The healthy girl was NOT healthy!! Mentally, she was sicker than any zombie.
Oh yeah, it’s not the queers that push their sexual desires in our faces, oh no, it’s our narrow minds. LOL
