I remember him from several of the old black & white westerns from the 50’s and 60’s. He was 6 episodes of Gunsmoke.

I once met Ed Nelson in Jacksonville, NC, sometime in the mid-sixties. When he was in the Navy, he was stationed at nearby Camp Lejeune and became friends with the family of one of my good friends. After he became a star, he was in the area and came to visit and I had the opportunity to meet him. I remember how good looking he was and how gracious he was to two starstruck teenage girls.
