I saw this on the news last night.

I was stuned!

I saw it also on Red Eye.

I talked to a ranger who has shot a bear. It could not be taken down at long range. It was a tough bear. He told me when he saw the bear skinned it looked very much like a human. It was a sad memory.

I used to be fascinated by bears because I encountered a lot of them at Rose Valley campgrounds near Ojai CA by the falls. The momma would come into camp at dusk and raid the trash cans with her cubs. I would scoop up my toy poodle at the fire and hide in my Audi. At night I could hear them sloshing through the stream next to our tent. I would buy books on bear and they would terrify me. I got rid of those books. I still have the teddy bears my husband gave me while courting me, but that’s enough bear for me now.
