The heartless thug who kicked a squirrel into the Grand Canyon in a Youtube clip has a £10,000 bounty on his head thanks to furious animal activists.
PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), famous for its shock tactics and ads containing scantily clad women, are on the hunt for the man shown in the video.

‘Bout a million years ago, I saved a squirrel from certain death on a busy road.
He was gripping a walnut firmly in his jaws whilst dodging rush hour traffic.
I threw a towel over him and hustled him into my car.
Then I went to the dumpster behind a liquor store to get a box to transport him to safer environs.
As I tried to put him in the box he shot out of the towel and used my bottom lip as a springboard to freedom.
He launched out the car window and disappeared to a housing development nearby, walnut still firmly clenched.

I don’t think it’s okay to pollute the Grand Canyon.
I recall running into aggressively obnoxious French tourists and impeccably polite young Luftwaffe officers on my visit to the Grand Canyon. If it hadn’t been for the Nazis, I might be inclined to say we were on the wrong side.

You have to make a very wide intellectual swerve to miss the point when it's that wide and right in front of you.
Some people seem to be too thick to see the connection between the two things.

As for your story - I saw something similar last year - two squirrels fighting in the crown of an old oak. Both fell about 60' - hit with a thud and ran up the tree - still fighting
What I'm seeing more and more of are squirrels climbing telephone poles and walking the wires to cross busy streets........

Killing the squirrel was an awful crime for which the Frenchman should be tried and executed...but wait, he was just trying to help it have an abortion of it’s unborn young. It had just told him, “Squeaker, squeek, squeek....” that it needed to get that done. In the process, he accidentally kicked her over the edge...so, uh, oops, it’s all okay. Everyone calm down now, some stuff just happens.
The act was pointlessly cruel to those who witnessed it and are sensitive about such things, and a lousy way to treat any of God's creatures.
There are worse things for PETA to do with their money.
You don’t have to value squirrels to despise what this guy did, which was barbaric. Such people wouldn’t hesitate to do this to a human if they could get away with it.

What do you mean? The PETA kerfuffle? Remember, they had one of their local groups, in VA I believe it was, having a twisted Munchausen-by-Proxy fest putting down cats and dogs as fast as they could get them and dumping them in other businesses garbage a while back IIRC...
Hell, I’d eat squirrel, and have (squirrel and dumplings!). I remember my late grandfather griping at my mom for throwing out some heads he had frozen, he was saving them for the brains for a treat.
People are being executed world wide and we are worried about a squirrel?
