At his best Wednesday, U.S. Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., made short work of a Democrat-friendly law professor testifying before Congress, even offering him some free litigation advice.
The former prosecutor turned congressman was surgical in his questioning of Professor Charles Tiefer, who was brought before the House Judiciary Committee as an expert witness by Democrats Tiefer has a history of being of service to the Democratic Party, according to The Blaze.
Professor Tiefer, would you seat a juror who referred to your client as an obscene body part? Gowdy asked in his opening question.

Absolute brilliant lawyer, able to ask the questions that make people squirm. Not much for lawyers, but this one has his act together.
I wonder how long Trey survives?
“Absolute brilliant lawyer, able to ask the questions that make people squirm. Not much for lawyers, but this one has his act together.”
And this is the difference between that class of lawyers who are >skilled litigators< versus desk/paper jockeys. Contrast Gowdy with Darrell Issas’ amateurish “I’ll pretend I am a lawyer” questions which ALWAYS leave an obvious escape route to the the questionee/deponent. What is worse, his (Issas’) follow up questions ALWAYS generate YET ANOTHER escape route. Every questionee gets not just one, but two escape routes...for free! You can see it happening if you watch Issa question the panelist(s). And this why Issa gets nowhere with his questioning.
Trey Gowdy replaces John Boehnor as Speaker of the House in 2015.
And/or is elected POTUS in 2016.
We can all still dream, right?
The professor was a complete hack.
Trey is such a stud. Looks like a geek but he carries the ball!!!
Smack down!
The professor had a bad hair day. And then Trey Gowdy lit his ass on fire.
I have general disdain for lawyers but I’ll make an exception for Trey Gowdy.
This country was built on dreams, and yes I would dream that someone like Gowdy would run. However, the MSM will never allow such a thing to happen and they have chosen our last couple of GOP Presidential candidates.
!
That was excellent. Trey Gowdy carved up that fool of a professor.
Trey is going to be in Wichita tommorow to make an appearance with Mike Pompeo. I think I’ll stop by and cheer the man.
“I wonder how long Trey survives?”
Hopefully he will die at home with his grown great grand children around his bed.
I really like the guy. He drags them into the water and doesn’t let them up for air. If all Republicans had his spine this country would not be in the shape it is in.
Trey is one of the good guys
Gowdy’s hair, OTOH, seems to have found its moxie!

Kinda makes wonder if he actually wants the truth. I have noticed it also and it is not lack of skill so much as he doesn’t want to pen anyone down, the truth might come out. Actually he and his staff have to know that their questions and follow ups are weak. If you and I can see it, they have to know.
