Last month, Kiss singer Gene Simmons falsely claimed that the wealthiest one percent paid 80 percent of "all taxes" and created "all the jobs."
Eager to spread more love, Simmons recently teed off on his former Kiss band mates Peter Criss and Ace Frehley, and anyone suffering from depression or drug addiction.
When asked by SongFacts.com if he still gets along with Criss or Frehley these days, Simmons responded, "No, I don't get along with anybody who's a drug addict and has a dark cloud over their head and sees themselves as a victim."
"Drug addicts and alcoholics are always: 'The world is a harsh place.' My mother was in a concentration camp in Nazi Germany," added Simmons. "I don't want to hear f--- all about 'the world as a harsh place.' She gets up every day, smells the roses and loves life. And for a putz, 20-year-old kid to say, 'I'm depressed, I live in Seattle.' F--- you, then kill yourself."

> A drug is not bad. A drug is a chemical compound. The problem comes in when people who take drugs treat them like a license to behave like an a-hole. - Frank Zappa
I don’t think they take them like a license to behave like a a-hole. Tht implies the have intros of the vehicle. Most I know have no business being behind the wheel...: )

I dont think they take them like a license to behave like a a-hole. That implies they have control of the vehicle. Most I know have no business being behind the wheel...: )
P.S. mobile devices make me look like I’m on drugs with all the typos. It’s just my big hands have a hard time tapping those dang keys right...lol
I tend to agree with Gene.
permanent end to a temporary problem
Pervert Gene should lead the way by example
He’s right.
I once saw a cartoon 20 years ago that summed it up. It was one spoiled brat talking to another: “I am so depressed about not having anything, I am going to drive my Miada through the hot tub.”
“not the singer”
He is one of the singers. He leads on a number of tracks.
Yes he sings but is not the lead for the band. He is like Joe Walsh in the Eagles.
Yo, Gene, look for my tax bill in your mail.
BTW, not all publicity is good.
I don’t know about him being an atheist. I also didn’t know this....
Chaim Witz was born at the Rambam Hospital in Haifa, Israel, in 1949.

Well, this is going to go over like a lead balloon, but I am about over the clinically depressed. I mean, nothing seems to help these people. They try this medication and that medication, and there is apparently just no cure. So they go on being depressed, and usually making sure their friends and family and co-workers are depressed along with them. I mean... come on.
<><><<
Yes, they also choose to be clinically depressed, because it is so much fun for them.
Don’t you think they’d ‘come on’ if they could?
Jeez, I hope no one really close to you is diagnosed with depression or God forbid bipolar disorder. Your advice would likely be to ‘come on, get over it. Get up and dust yourself off’.
I’m sure the clinically depressed people are sorry that they have disturbed you with their depression.
The point is, that these people arent sick at all. They are just unhappy and blame their unhappiness on everybody else.
<><><
Are you really suggesting that clinical depression does not exist?
I’m glad for your sake that you have the option of being ignorant about the realities of depression.
They might not be able to get over it, but they could make an effort not to depress the crap out of everyone around them. And they certainly should not have children. I mean, why do they do it? They know it can be passed on, and if they are unable to feel joy in anything, why have a baby? It’s not like the baby is going to make them happy.
Again, I am sure that the clinically depressed are really and truly sorry that you have been inconvenienced by their depression.
Au contraire, it is the privilege of those of us who carry on to serve those divas fainting on their chaise longue of sorrow.

As I suspected. You’ve not a clue about clinical depression, clearly demonstrated by your comment above. In all seriousness, I hope you never have to learn first hand what it’s like so you can remain as ignorant as you are today.
Usually when I use the word ignorant, I do so meaning ‘lack of knowledge’.
....and in his next interview he states he wants to make an album with Lady GaGa. Talk about a guy all over the map.
Oh, don’t worry about me, I will never “need” to learn about depression.
No, I know clinical depression exists, I’m talking about people who say they’re depressed, but aren’t really, in the chemical sense, which is probably the vast majority of cases.
I’m regretting posting this. And now I am depressed too.
He’s really very intelligent, I disagree on his take on this issue. I won’t pass judgement on his earlier lifestyle.
He’s right about the rock hall of fame taking madonna and run DMC while keeping out led zeppelin though.
