Conservatives in the House rebelled against their leadership on Thursday to scuttle an emergency spending measure that addressed the migrant crisis at the southern border, pushing the issue to a showdown on Friday as lawmakers prepared to leave for a five-week recess. The unexpected turmoil offered a coda to the dysfunction that has gripped the Capitol for much of the year.

Attention NY Slimes: Harry Reid has 360 bills passed by the house, many bipartisan like Keystone Pipeline sitting on his desk at this very moment, that he REFUSES to even bring to the Senate floor for debate. Say again, who is doing nothing?

Resisting bad ideas is not a dysfunction. That's what they are supposed to do.
If the situation was reversed politically, they would not use that language.

Right. Any time conservatives stop bad legislation it is because of “dysfunction.” Any time Liberal Dems do it its because they are standing on principle.
