COLUMBUS, Ohio - Hair coloring and facial treatments like Botox help many people look and feel younger, but increasingly, more men are seeking a way to feel younger. In record numbers, they're seeking a way boost to the male hormone testosterone.
We've seen the ads that warn of low testosterone, the male hormone that builds muscle, controls fat, and improves sex drive. They show a man concerned about less energy, moodiness and a low sex drive.
Urologist Dr. Gregory Lowe at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center says he has seen patients come in asking for the hormone even without documented low testosterone levels.
Many of them are receiving it, too. Online ads offer a dizzying number of products. There are over-the-counter supplements at health stores, as well hormone injections from doctors or prescription gels.

Did I miss it, or did no one point out that one of the side effects of men gobbling steroids is hypogonadism and low testosterone?
Isn’t it pathetic what kind of folks the Republican primary ballots insist on putting on general election ballots? Are they just informed, or is it more involved?
The same principle applies with tablets for indigestion. Using the tablets causes the natural enzymes to shut down or off. So a pickle a day works better.
At least the GOP in Congress doing something...
I have my latest blood test before me, and I can’t find PH listed.
FYI I’m 69 and tried it last year at doctor’s suggestion. Didn’t work for me. Developed a minor heart palpitation issue which disappeared completely when I stopped the therapy. Don’t know if the two were related.
Sorry....but digestive enzyme tablets do not cause your body to produce less or shut down enzymatic process. If that was the case, then foods would cause the same thing, since many have enzymes still intact. What cause improper enzyme function is low hydrochloric acid, which happens with age. The low acid levels prevent proper titration, which is the locomotion which allows enzymes to reach the location of the body in need.
Does he take his tea with milk and one or two lumps of sugar?
The more you lift, the stronger your bones get.
Oh oh, you are on to us! That was a hilarious post, kudos to your long-suffering husband -g-
100% correct and Stallone is a proponent of heavy lifting. He always has been.
If you are talking about the purple pill, it works by inhibiting hydrochloric acid. It does not turn off enzyme production. It does, turn off enzyme production. However, it will cause malabsorption of nutrients and dispiosis of the gut, because HCL is necessary for healthy gut flora and nutrient absorption from food, specifically, magnesium and the amino acid L-Taurine, both of which are deficient in the older population. Interestingly, the three most common ailments in the elderly is AFIB, osteoporosis, and sleep disorders. All of which are strongly related to such deficiencies. As for proteolytic or systemic enzymes: we all have a finite supply and when they are, they are gone. The higher your enzyme load, the faster they are depleted. Enzymes supplements help to reduce the load, thus sparing our natural enzyme production.

Also the post about the ph levels is also very true . To put things simply drink your 8 to10 glasses of wTer a day or more . The water will make your body alkaline and cancer cannot survive in that type of environment.
“My 65 yr old has the prostate of a 40 yr old man, so says his urologist.”
Where can I get one? Did he buy it, borrow it, or steal it? What’s it for anyway?
My doc checked me for vitamin D and found it was very low due to a bad case of arthritis which she told me, strips out vitamin D. Started taking large doses of D and amazingly found that the pain decreased probably 90%. For me at least, it is a wonder vitamin.
Many people are deficient in vitamin D and Vitamin K2. The deficiency is implicated in many disorders, including cardiovacular disease and hormone imbalances. The culprit is lack of sun exposure, sunscreens and too many polyunsaturated fats in the diet. Your vitamin D level should be between 45 and 60.
Ha! I assume you're being serious and not sarcastic so I'll answer likewise.
He's not overweight, doesn't smoke, minimal alcohol. He's adopted so we don't know any genetic history.
I personally think no matter what get it checked annually, like it or not. One of my good pals, same age, never had it checked until recently. Guess what? Cancerous, and he's had the surgery and now his penis don't work no more. Just because he never had the prostate checked.
It's fingers up your butt for a few seconds. Big deal.
Yes but what these companies don’t tell is that this fosters prostate cancer
