Tonight's the night of The Second Coming!
New York City.
I hope the sharks bring their own picante sauce...
Darn, I have plans to rearrange my sock drawer tonight so I’ll have to miss it.
Just remember, the movie doesn’t take itself seriously, so you shouldn’t either.
I find that self-conscious schlock tends to gratingly defeat its own purpose. I’d rather get my anti-aesthetic jollies re-watching “The Killer Shrews” or maybe one of Larry Buchanan’s grade-Z items from the 1960s.
What? This could well be the TV event of the year!
(Oooooo! Talk about damning with faint praise!)
Starts Aug. 14, 2014
Why?
FINE!
Darn your socks!
I'll let you know when you can catch it on re-runs...
Why? WHY??? If you have to ask...
I’m with you. This stuff is nothing more than “Look at me! See how clever I am? I can’t make a good movie so I’ll make a good BAD movie.”
It’s self-congratulatory failure, a further lowering of the bar, and a celebration of mediocrity.
“Stupid” isn’t the same as “funny.”
If you want to see appallingly — and legitimately — bad cinema, watch “Troll 2” or “Birdemic.” Beyond horrible ...
Hey, hey, Sharknado II has more truth in it than the entire history of MSNBC.
And, the sharks are much more attractive.
I was actually referring to people who are going to wail on this movie for “being so crappy”. The movie’s not meant to be serious, yet I just know people are going to tear into the story, the acting, the effects, etc.
If THEY have to ask...
Woohooo ! Can’t wait for tonight. I wonder if there will be a Sharknado 3 filmed in Washington D.C.
LOL! Indeed. Attack of the Killer Tomatoes was one of my favorites.
“Oh look, Martha! One of ‘em’s got little Timmy!”
[they watch a giant tomato drag little Timmy out the door]
And I really liked Sharknado. Looking forward to renting “2” from Netflix as soon as they offer it.
A good laugh is really healthful and keeps you happy!
Hope this will be the opposite of Jaws, where every sequel got worse and worse.
Oh, the anticipation is awesome. See Kelly Osborne give head (her head that is). And lots of other cameos look to make this a fun night. I hope RiffTrax (evolved MST3k) gets to do this one live too. RiffTrax Sharknado was killer- “Like Tara Reid has a bookshelf.”
