Wow, this really is possibly. I thought this was just a preposterous plot device in sitcoms. Originate on I Love Lucy when she got stuck in a meet freezer, and then perpetuated in many sitcoms through the years.

Dr Tran Doan Dao said Mr Sang survived only by the fact he was wearing four coats and a protective hat.
I don’t think the doctor is buying the “licking ice” explanation.

Not a good search party. Maybe no one even bothered to look, or try to track his activity pattern. Most professional kitchens receive or retrieve or inventory freezer items on the same days of the week, and at the same time of the workday. What? Nobody entered that walk in for almost five days running? I almost have to doubt this story.

When they reached him, Mr Sang was suffering from the worst case of frostbite doctors at Cho Ray Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, had ever seen. But how many cases of frostbite doctors in subtropical Vietnam had ever seen?

So there we were, standing on the dock talking. We noticed this pounding from the sharp freezer. We found poor Max Brown inside shivering. He was the only one there who could not activate the emergency release. He died of drunk driving in his 65 GTO, about five years later.
