Everyone loves these stories about self absorbed people on smart phones and how they are ruining the world.
Will have to see; but guessing this one will turn out to be false and made up.
For example; I have never witnessed someone taking a picture of their food; although I know it happens sometimes. This article says 26 of 45 people spend 3 minutes taking pictures of their food. I call BS on that point alone.

My Nephew’s wife and her many friends do this all the time, both at home and out. Every moment, it seems, of their lives are recorded.

They live in Thailand. My sister talks to them at least 4 days per week, 3 hours at a time, on Skype.

My nephew says that Thai’s seem to be even worse than Yanks for living in the digital age.

I’m not so sure. It’s not just taking the picture. Probably several pics were taken, then comes the editing process. You have to pick which one you want to use, edit it by cropping or adding touches to it, then the obligatory comment, something clever like, “My food. Yum!”
