I felt very bad because here was the man I liked and trusted the most as a critic then, the man who believed in the mot juste the one and only correct word to usethe man who had taught me to distrust adjectives as I would later learn to distrust certain people in certain given situations...

WFB's attempt to emulate us ; ) No pushing at the door please!
Another clever boy. It almost sounds like a commercial when you phrase it like that, doesn’t it? A for you!
Il faut trouver le mot juste pour ce type de peuple — ou de religion:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3184444/posts
(Translation: You have to find the right word for this kind of people — or religion.) And people still think Islam is a religion or peace?
(BTW, I majored in French — finally came in handy.)
Another reason to despise the midget commish. A+ for you.
I had 3 years of it in HS and hoped I would be able to use it on a work trip to Canada. I was disappointed. The presentation was in Toronto. A+ for you!
I like when the Canadians share word on their bilingual signs. Like at the convenience store, it says:
Lotto
CENTRE
de Loto
The people across the river who have a watchdonkey for their goats have bought some peacocks/peafowl-when I was walking this morning, they were in the trees at the fence of that property, screeching while the donkey stood underneath and brayed. I’m sure no intelligent predator will try to grab a goat with all that racket...
No matter what the day brings
Obama’s minions haven’t a clue-
They can’t find the mot juste
With many words or just a few
When Earnest opens his mouth
To the gaggle of the press
They know that he is Josh-ing
So they tune out and guess
And now they are complaining
Because the bubble has burst-
And they’re being lied to now
But they are hardly the first
Has been fronn the very first
Oops-discarded half-done line not taken out...
You should never discard a half-done line. You might want it later.
I can retrieve it if I need to-my hard drive is vaccinated against Lois Lerner crashes...
I am struggling to come up with the mot juste to describe my freedom. I am out of home physical therapy and will start Monday at the out patient center. I am going out to dinner tonight to celebrate.
Officially, I went from 55 degrees to 80. I cannot wait to hit 120.
That is fantastic, Ti-I hope you have the best dinner ever...
I remember well how welcome thar feeling is of finally escaping confinement! ENJOY!!
A+ for you! I remember what a racket the peacocks in the quad at Fort Sam caused. Good security system they have in place.
Is it relief? Congrats on the hard work and increased flexibility! Keep up the good work!
They have been popular watchbirds in the boonies for as long as I can remember, and they are good ones, too-and pretty, but these are closer to me-less than 1/4 mile-and no one for a couple of miles can fail to hear their noise and the donkey’s and go see what is going on.
I’m partial to guineas as watchbirds myself-they are easier to manage, hang out with your chickens, etc. The eggs are delicious, too but they like to lay them under brush, not in henhouses so finding them an Easter egg hunt...
They are also smaller and easier to keep and clean up after!
On Tuesday, I finally went down the front stairs by myself...with no railing. Before that I would chicken out. I went out today and walked around the block. Too many neighbors wanting to talk, but otherwise successful. I was tired when I got back and had to get my own ice and cold drink. That is a riot watching me climb stairs with those in tow. I put the drink up a couple of steps then pick it up and move it higher, until I reach the top. I laugh at myself the whole way. I must look silly. I have to wait for dinner till DH is off duty. He accepted a shift driving ambulance AFTER he agreed to dinner out....the party pooper.
