Most TV series "jump the shark" or get bad long before they end. But there's always a few that you wish that went on at least another season. Which TV series or program(s) do you wish hadn't ended when it did but continued on at least another year?
1. Firefly
2. Almost Human
3. Young Justice
4. Prisoner
5. Adventures of Brisco County Jr.
I always WONDER why any male or female would CHOOSE homosexuality or bisexuality. Yuck.
The guy who's been doing my nails for MANY years is gay and he just lost his "husband" a while ago. California allows same sex marriage.
He did say once: Why would I choose to be gay, never to have children?
I went online and searched A LOT for the source of homosexuality. ALL the myriad of sites and research agree: It IS a choice.
But why people choose it is a mystery. So is why there are more MALE homosexuals than female.
However, one thing is clear: male/females CHOOSE homo/bisexuality sometime between their 13th and 16th years of age. Personally I don't think that those teenagers may be old enough or mature enough to make such a choice. How can they POSSIBLY realize the long term ramifications and/or consequences of their choice?
Oh well, I don't understand the abnormality of the transgender either.
I actually stumbled across it late in the season 2 run, and found it so interesting that I went online and started again from the beginning.
Missed a bit more than half of season 3 while I caught up, but by watching each episode in turn I was all caught up by the end.
One of the better-done series indeed, and one I truly appreciated.
You can search for it online and try it from the beginning if you are interested. That’s how I managed to catch the episodes I had previously missed.
+1.
It’s on early, so you can watch it. It’s also in re-runs now and it makes a good re-run.
I’m not sure about homosexuality. My brother was gay (he even died of AIDS, which was very unfortunate) and I feel like I knew he was gay before I knew what gay was.
I used to be very much an advocate for gays, but they have really turned me off in recent years. I don’t know if it’s a “choice” or not, but they need to practice some of the tolerance they demand from others.
It’s just very annoying. It’s gone from “leave us alone in the bedroom” (which I think pretty much everyone was willing to do) to “Celebrate our love!” (which many people just don’t want to do).
Do your own research on homo/bisexuality. There isn't a place where it is considered anything other than a choice. People CHOOSE to be homo/bisexual.
However, I don't throw stones. Why would I? The CLASSIC example of Jesus saving that adulterating woman from being stoned runs through my mind. Judging others to THAT lethal extent just brings the message home very CLEARLY.
I DIG IN, though, when someone tries to tell me that homosexuality/bisexuality is NORMAL for the human race. It is NOT; never was; never will be. Maybe the abnormality has become "normal" for a person but we humans aren't engineered any other way than heterosexual.
Even being asexual is abnormal.
That all cultures and faiths consider anything other than heterosexuality aberrant, sinful and wrong HAS to tell us what an overwhelmingly BASIC tenet of faith and life our heterosexuality is.
I agree that it is not normal. I’m not sure about asexuality, I suppose that is not “normal” either, but it’s harmless. Some people are just going to be outliers no matter what.
I remember seeing some guy on the TV, it was some “man on the street” segment but I can’t remember what they were asking. It must have been about a band or something though because this one guy said: well, I really don’t like any music, so of course I don’t like them/him/that, whatever it was.
And I was really shocked. I’d never heard anyone say they didn’t like music AT ALL, this kind of music or that kind, or rap, of course, but to not like music at all....well that seemed abnormal to me.
“The Flash. “
My daughter loved that show, she would definitely vote for it on this thread. I was so sad for her when it was cancelled.
==============================
He didn't like music?! That is MOST abnormal!!
We are the only species of God's creation who has music to make, since, hum, play and listen to. It's one of God's greatest gifts to us.
Rap isn't music; it's talking to a rhythm. Nothing more.
From the Internet: MUSIC is vocal or instrumental sounds (or both) combined in such a way as to produce beauty of form, harmony and expression of emotion.
Even COLORS are a gift from God. We humans see colors the best, according to the internet sites. The AMAZING thing is that there are only THREE COLORS.
RED
BLUE
YELLOW
BLACK is all colors and WHITE is no color.
QUESTION: I see the < body bgcolor="#003300" > but am not SURE how to use it. It must be background color. How do I use it, do you know? Is it even supported here? THANKS.
Interesting. I know nothing about HTML if that is what you are asking about. There is the HTML sandbox somewhere here, I think you could find if via the keywords list that is at the top of the threads list.
I have the complete DVD set and enjoy watching it now and then.
The cast, the atmosphere, the scripts have never been duplicated.
I would wish the same as you, but Petra Wilson does not look as comely’
as she once did, and that drastic difference between her blonde
passionate nature and his dark controlled one, was one of the
reasons I found the show fascinating.
I have the soundtrack to the series, too, I highly recommend it.
Oh, I just remembered, they did try to recreate it, but the
little Asian actress and the man who played Michael, although,
he was great in A Walk to Remember, had no deep affinity,
and it was sexual without that sense of longing and duty
that suffused the original.
it’s Sunday night coming on, and I remember, how I would anticipate
La Femme Nikita for that evening viewing.
Thank-you for the chat. I wish you well.
I have both of the “official” Sledge Hammer dvd sets with the commentaries and the quality is fine. Did you get some sort of bootleg copies?
“Sledge! Thank God you’re alright”.
“No don’t thank God, thank Gun”.
The IT Crowd is hilarious in a computer geeky kind of humorous way. Some episodes I literally have tears in my eyes from laughing so hard. I rewatch episodes frequently.

The Gay Musical episode may have been the funniest thing I have ever seen on TV.

My 84 year old parents recommend IT Crowd. I was laughing so hard over that episode I was getting a side stitch and had tears in my eyes. One of the funniest sitcoms I’ve seen.
I got rid of cable years ago, so I only do Netflix. I’ve marathon watched Arrested Development twice. Red Dwarf was so sad to lose. Also Fawlty Towers and Black Adder. For the more American stuff- Mad About You, Moonlighting, 30 Something and lots of much older stuff like Walt Disney. My Mother the Car was first to come to mind though, too. Oh goodness, almost forgot Ozzie and Harriet.
No, not bootleg. I have the official DVDs, but they are not HD. I’ve been spoiled.
Didn’t you think Jericho was getting very political toward the end? If I remember correctly they were basically parodying Dick Cheney.
Don’t know nuttin’ ‘bout no HD.
My set is a 35 inch CRT.
