I’m surprised the Waffle House is on this list. There are at least 150 of them between Mississippi and Houston - we quit counting after that. We have been in several when we are traveling this area and have never seen any signs about not allowing firearms and our family members feel comfortable doing concealed carry. Would be interested to know if anyone has experienced a problem with them.
Would like to see a cite on that myself.
FReepmail me or KoRn to get on or off the Waffle House Ping List.
Sorry, didn’t mean to post and run, but wanted to answer about Waffle House and Hooters, since they were mentioned.
I agree that there are tons of Waffle Houses in states that are typically pro-gun. NM, AZ, TX, MS, LA, GA, AR, FL, TN, NC, SC and VA to name some of the states I’ve visited and noticed Waffle Houses.
I agree with Trebb’s statement: “The companies may have taken stances, but they probably only enforce/advertise in the more liberal areas.” I also wonder if the list might take into consideration if owners/CEOs and/or others of these companies might donate heavily to anti-gun legislators or candidates or are vocal when anti-gun legislation is being talked about. JMO as I don’t really know, but it makes sense to me.
I mostly wanted to share this list in case there was any interest out there. I know that while we currently don’t own a gun, we have in the past and my husband and I are very strong 2nd Amendment supporters, so I like to stay up on this stuff.
