The closest I came to an answer is this study about Evangelical Pentecostal Catholics and immigrants which made me think of the 2010 recruitment of Pastors and Priests to act as mediators for the gov't. in case of "emergency".
Just thought I'd throw it out here for discussion.
Is that why we went from a German to an Argentinian pope?
I can’t imagine that EPC meant Evangelical Pentecostal Catholics.
First, that’s a term foreign to Catholicism, where the movement is known as the Catholic Charismatic Renewal (CCR).
Second, the migrants in question have very POOR family ties and are usually almost completely unchurched.
Lastly, the book you reference isn’t about Catholic churches.
I know one thing. If the commie ‘RATS want to “tax the hell” out of the churches the way they do marijuana, I’m all for it now. I’ve had it. If the churches want to engage in politics, they should have to pay their “fair share” the way the working people are forced to do.
It’s been done before.
“We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We dont want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members.”
